Upper Back Pressure On Left Side, Throat Pressure, Abdominal Pain. History Of Chronic Gastritis. Recommendations?

For about two years, I get upper back pressure on my left side. It feels as if someone put a foot in my back. That feeling makes me feel like I have a really strong burp, but I don't. I also feel the pressure in my throat. Quite often, the pressure is associated with severe pain in the pack and stomach region, which leaves me groaning, bending over and taking deep breaths. I have had chronic gastritis, (which I learned to live by means of diet) since my teen years, am now 30, but have never felt the back pressure. I notice the feeling comes on about 3 hours after food I but not always. I often strikes when I am hungry and sometimes develops as I eat. I eat healthy, do not smoke or drink. I cannot figure out any pattern like particular foods or certain times, beyond the 3 hour after food part. I sense that this has something to do with my stomach or pancreas. Any suggestions?

Hello!

Thank you for the query.

As you have chronic gastritis, gastroscopy should be done every few years. It is necessary to control your stomach, esophagus and rule out possible cancer.
Your symptoms can be caused by worsening of your stomach inflammation, esophagus inflammation, peptic ulcer.
Acid reflux disease is very often associated with asthma disease. This condition can give chest pressure or back pressure. That is why you should have it controlled.
Pancreas inflammation or gallstones can also give back pain. And so is urinary tract infection.

I suggest you to visit your doctor, have abdominal ultrasound, blood work, liver tests, amylase, urine analysis, urine amylase. Gastroscopy should be also done. To rule out asthma, spirometry (blow test) should be also done.

Hope this will help.
Regards.
