Undergoing Medication For Anxiety. Burning Sensation Near Chest. Panic Attack Last Night. Problem?

My family doctor prescribed me some meds for my anxiety, but I can't help but feel like there is another problem. Sometimes during the day I will experience a burning sensation in my chest, where my heart is, and it is extremly uncomfortable. It happens a lot at night, too, and last night it lead to a small panic attack that lasted maybe 20 seconds. Should I be concerned?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi and welcome to HCM.
Chest pain can be sign of anxiety and usually is. But if this persists you should do gastroscopy to evaluate stomach and esophagus pathology. And secondly you should check your heart function. After these tests you can be calm and sure that nothing is wrong. Wish you good health.
