Uncontrollable Shivering, Fever, Stomach Pain. Reason?

Hi , I m a 29 years old mother of 3yr old son.My height is 5.4 and weight is 54kgs, last night I had unstoppable shivering with high fever and pain in the upper stomach area, the shivering was not in control at all, I have had this fever and shivering 6yrs ago once and also once when I was newly married (7yrs ago), but these days I have stomach pain also with it. Please help me know the reason and things to avoid it happen again.

Hi,
Thanks for writing your query.

Fever along with shivering can be due to many reasons. Common causes are :-
1. Urinary Tract Infection(UTI).
2. Malaria.

You should get following investigations done :-
1. Urine examination.
2. Malaria test.
3. Complete Blood Count(CBC).
4. Elisa test for Typhoid.
5. Liver Function Test(LFT).

You can take paracetamol 500 mg 3-4 times a day for fever along with an antacid like Omeprazole 20 mg once a day before meals.
Furthur treatment can be planned according to the reports of the investigations mentioned above.

Drink lots of pure water.

If the problem persists, get yourself examined clinically.
