Hello and welcome,

Both hiccups and uncontrollable vomiting could be symptoms of the H. pylori infection called Type B Gastritis. This requires therapy called triple therapy. This includes two types of antibiotics and an ACEi inhibitor (which is a group of drugs).

At times we do prescribe extra drugs along with this, which could be a colloid substance that could help treat any indigestion, nausea, heartburn, etc. Please confirm with your doctor, if the correct drugs were prescribed and if the drug was taken for the right duration of time.

An investigation called endoscopy (which helps in examining the inner part of the gastrointestinal tract and also take tissue sample if required could be beneficial in diagnosing a large number of conditions.

Most of the condition shown in either Grey's anatomy or even House, are quite rare, and although they are seen in different institutions around the world, they are uncommon in everyday practice.

The goal here should be a correct diagnosis and proper treatment and follow up.

I am sure your husbands problem can be solved and your family can be soon relieved. I request you to pursue this with an experienced doctor and follow his/her advice strictly.

You can always write back to us for any further clarifications.

Wishing you and your husband good health, and a long and happy married life.
