Type 2 Diabetic, Stubbed Pinky Toe, Bruised, Painful. What Should I Do?
I m a type 2 diabetic. Yesterday I stubbed my pinky toe, I can move it but it s painful. Its also bruised badly I m concerned because of my diabetes. I have been keeping ice on it twenty minutes an hour also keeping it elevated. What else should I do?
Infection is the most feared complication of such injuries in a diabetic. I would advice my patient to apply antibiotic cream on the wound. Chuck you're blood sugar and keep it under control.
