Twisted Knee After Playing. Pain Persisting After Recovery. Is There A Problem?
Hi, 8 months ago my left knee was twisted when I play soccer. After I recovered from the injury I try to play soccer back but my knee was injured again. I did an ultrasacan and the doctor said that my knee is fine. I never play soccer for 4 months right now. I try to play soccer back but when I try to jump, my knee was like gave out when I land. What's a problem with my knee?

General & Family Physician, Dr. Shanthi E's Response
Hi,
In my opinion, you probably have a torn knee joint ligament. Ultrasound for this is not a sensitive test.
You would benefit by getting an MRI of the affected knee joint to locate the actual lesion.
You must consult a joint surgeon later on. Until that time, refrain from playing soccer.
Get well soon.
