Hello,
I just twisted my right ankle (outward, quite hard) while walking on even surface about an hour and a half ago. Right afteward, I was so nauseous I nearly vomited. Managed to hobble to my car. Pain still so bad I still feel nauseous a hour and a half later. The pain is more the back of my ankle above the heel, the top of my foot (toward the right side) and some pain in my calf, particularly if I try to stand and hobble.
Is this normal for a simple sprain or twisted ankle? I have had sprained ankles before, and never felt nauseous from it and never had it hurt where it hurts. In general, it hurts worse than any other sprain i've ever had.
I have it elevated, iced, etc. I can sort of stand a bit and hobble, but it hurts worse to do so. So, is this all just typical sprain, or should I be concerned that it might be something else. p.s. I usually have pretty high pain tolerance, since I've lived iwth chronic spinal pain for over 25 years..
