Tripped And Fell On My Buttocks. Started Bruising, Swollen, Painful. Sitting For Long Time Increased The Pain. Problem?
Dr. Grief, Five months ago, I tripped and fell hard on a corner display table at my job onto my left buttocks which immediately started bruising and became larger in time with increased pain. I went to my jobs immediate care and my own physician and they believed nothing was broken, without any x-rays. I am now working at a sedentary job and sitting all day has increased the pain and it goes into my back up to my neck and shoulders. I haven't been back to a doctor due to no insurance. What do you think could be wrong? I appreciate any opinion in this matter. Thank You!
Hello. Thanks for writing to us. The fall on the buttocks has caused a soft tissue injury in the area. If you can walk around normally then any bone related injury is not likely. Rest, mild pain killers and hot fomentation will help you. I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you. Regards, Dr. Praveen Tayal , drtayal72@gmail.com
