Hello and thanks for your time. I am a 67 year old female who had lung surgery about five years ago. At first, it was thought I had lung cancer, but after removing the top lobe of my left lung and sending to lab, the diagnosis was histoplasmosis. I went to an infectious disease physician for a year, took sporanox for about four months before developing a severe allergic reaction to it ( vomiting, rashes, headaches, lost a bunch of weight.) I continued to go for a year without further treatment. At the end of the year, I was told to return for an annual exam, but the dr. has left the area and I cannot find my records he had. Is it necessary to see someone for checkup? I have no symptoms.
