Top Lobe Of Lung Removed, Diagnosed Histoplasmosis. Allergic Reaction To Spornox. Anything Else Can Be Done ?

Hello and thanks for your time. I am a 67 year old female who had lung surgery about five years ago. At first, it was thought I had lung cancer, but after removing the top lobe of my left lung and sending to lab, the diagnosis was histoplasmosis. I went to an infectious disease physician for a year, took sporanox for about four months before developing a severe allergic reaction to it ( vomiting, rashes, headaches, lost a bunch of weight.) I continued to go for a year without further treatment. At the end of the year, I was told to return for an annual exam, but the dr. has left the area and I cannot find my records he had. Is it necessary to see someone for checkup? I have no symptoms.

hello,
thanks for writing to us,

yes it is necessary to visit a doctor for regular check up.if your treating doctor has left the area go for an alternate doctor and reveal your past medical history correctly ... do also inform him/her about your allergic reaction to Spornox..i believe doctor will do the required investigation if he feels .
kindly never ignore your health and your doctors advice ..
get well soon,
take care
