Tingling Sensations In Arm, Hand While Sleeping Only On Left Side. Cause Of Sensation?
Hi I am 38 years old and in the past few weeks I have been waking up at night due to tingling sensations in my left arm and hand . This happens only on the left arm and hand, and only when I am sleeping on my left side. However, as soon as I roll over to the right side, the tingling stops right away. What do you think this could be? Thanks!
Hello,
Thanks for you query.
The symptoms like tingling sensation in arm and hand are due to pressure compressing vessels and nerves caused by bad posture.
It is more common in Fatty people, inactive and smokers, however anybody can encounter such condition. Sometimes it is also related to Vitamin B12 deficiency.
I advise you to avoid bad postures that initiate tingling.
Exercise regularly
Weight loss if you are fatty
Avoid excessive sleep
Take Vitamin B12 supplement
If problem persists then visit your doctor for further evaluation.
Take Care!
