hi there, an enlarged lymphnode in the neck could be due to throat infectioon or ear infection or infection any where in the head and neck area, but the thing that should be ruled out is any malignancy of the thyroid gland. I would suggest that your get a FNAC of the lymphnode done to rule out thyroid problem or you can also get a thryroid radionuclide scan done for the same. I would llike to know why did you get the thyroid ultrasound in the first place? Do you have any thyroid problem or any family history of the same. Do get the lymph node evaluated. Take care.
