Taking Synthroid For Thyroid Problem. Low WBC. Reason?

Hi, i am a healthy, 39 yr. old female. The only medical condition I have is thyroid disease. Which I presently take.125mcg of synthroid daily. I just recieved my lab work back from my annual physical. Everything came back normal, except my blood count level was abnormal. My doctor indicated my white blood cells were a bit low. What could be the cause of that?

Hi

The cause for your low blood count is unlikely to be because of your thyroid problem. Can you let me know about your blood reports, we would be able to opine better if we know the reports. There are many reason for the low white blood cell counts, thyroid problem is not one of them.

With Warm Regards
Dr. Om Lakhani.
