Taking Sutafed For Ear Wax Built Up In Eardrum. Hearing Muffled And Still Having Feeling Of Fluid

Left ear feels like there's fluid behind my ear drum, popped my ear and it screeches when I do. No pain in my ear and I also have a cold. This has been occurring for 5 days. I visited 2 doctors the first one was at the walk in clinic and he looked in my ears and said it was an infection and prescribed sandoz-clarithronmycin but it has not been helping. 2nd doctor I went to was at the hospital because I was concerned about this issue because the antibiotics were not working and the problem felt like it was getting worse, she told me that my eardrum had some ear wax built up on it and suggested taking sutafed, that seemed to help a bit last night and I used some hydrogen peroxide to clean the ear and it hurt my ear drum. My hearing in my left ear is muffled and feels like it's plugged and when I tilt my head the fluid feels like it's at my ear drum but it just won't come out. I've been drinking hot tea for my cold to hopefully get my clogged mucus to start moving and a big chunk was coming out of the back of my throat as that was happening the fluid in my ear felt like it was moving a bit but stopped. What else can I do to clear my eustation tubes.
-Thank you

ENT Specialist 's  Response
hello. first thing is that sudafed will not clear wax from your ear, but it will help open up the eustachian tube and clear the fluid from your ear. you can also tr taking steam inhalation 4-5 times a day and consider adding tab cetrizine 5mg at night. they will help. thanks
