I have some questions. I have been on pain medication for a long time and think that I ended up becoming addicted to them as I have had 2 back surgeries and I alsso have Scheuermann's Disease of the spine which is very painful. I was a 300lb woman that all of a sudden has gone down to 170lbs without even trying as I did not move around very much because of all the pain. I was in an abusive relationship with my ex husband back in the nineties and he had hit me over the head with hangers. All of a sudden in 2007 in Oct. my Doctor had me on 30mg morphine for my pain and she cut me off cold turkey without tapering me off them and me as a patient even knows better than that. I then started having seizures within 3 weeks of being cut off of the pain medication cold turkey. I also have been addicted to Mt. dew soda pop and drank probabally 6 cans or more a day. I decided to give it up as I was having pain in what felt like my kidney and my stomach. The doctor thought that maybe it was my gall bladder but sent me through a ultra sound and it showed nothing so he then sent me through a scan of my stomach and gall bladder I understood it as to see how things were processed inside my stomach. And he said it all came back fine but I still get pains in my stomach from time to time. I am off all pain medication as I wanted to see what my body felt like since all the weight loss as the doctor had told me that it would help my back. Which it does feel better at my low back having that weight off my low back but the Scheuermann's Disease at my upper back still hurts a lot as it has caused me to shrink by 2 inches in height. But I am still very concerned about the weight loss and the fact that it came off without even trying I have lost 130 lbs and every time I go to the doctors I weigh less each time as I have no appetite anymore. I now drink a lot of water in place of the soda pop but dont understand why my urine still is so yellow and strong smelling as I thought that would change when I stopped drinking the pop. I also drink cran apple juice as well. I have headaches a lot and tingling and all in my legs and feet. My problem has been that It has been very hard for me to stay with one doctor as my sleeping habits are very poor and sometimes the seizures got in the way of appointments and so if you miss 3 appointments you lose your doctor and have to get a new one. So therefore I have been unable to be able to keep the same one and build a repoor with just ONE doctor. I am kinda wondering with all my signs if I may have diabetes. And if being on certain medicatios can throw off the tests for that?
