Taking Silica For Lichen Planus. Rash On Armpits. Have Eczema
Hi there. I ve recently started taking silica in an attempt to clear up my lichen planus (I m 18). It was recommended by a friend and from what I ve read it has the effect of expelling toxins from the body. It s my 4th day on it and I ve got a really bad rash on both armpits and my skin seems to be getting worse. My condition isn t particularly bad but enough to be annoying, I also have excsma. But everything just seems to be going a lil crazy now that I m on the silica. Is this just a case of it gets worse before it gets better and anything caused from taking the silica is just the body getting rid of toxins? It s friggen annoying as the rash is really itchy but im pretty desperate to find a more permanent fix for the lichen planus so I don t mind sticking it out if its working
Hi, After reading your query I can understand that you are really tensed about the skin condition. In my opinion as a dermatologist - it would be better if you can ake proper steroid based treatment for lichen planus as under dermatological guidance. DO not try to scratch the area or pinch the area. You can apply cortisone cream and can take benadryl by mouth.
