Taking Prevacid. Pain In Leg, Cramps. Due To Medicine?

I have been on prevacid for many years. Almost a year ago I begun to have severe pain in in right leg - it bothers me more at night, but I feel it during the day. I often get a severe cramp in in leg. I have been going to a neurologist , and have an appointment tomorrow. They don t seem to know what the problem is. I wonder if it it attributed to the prevacid. Please advise. Thanks

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Prevacid , like all medications, has potential side effects. These are issues that may or may not occur.

In terms of the nervous system , it may cause headache, dizziness and pain. It may be possible that there is some link to the pain in your leg.

You may want to consider stopping the medication for a short time to see if your symptoms improve.

I hope this helps
