Taking Plavix. Pink Pills Marked CL5 Is Same As White Ones With MC27?

I have been taking Plavix for some years. Recently my RX was filled at Mylan Pharmacudicals in Morgantown, WVa.
The pills are white, not the usual pink, the markings are different and I am wondering if this pill is exactly the same as what I have been getting. The pink pills were marked CL75, APO. The new white ones are M.C27. What are your thoughts? Thank you.

Dear friend,

Thanks for posting your query on this website. I can fully appreciate your concern for your problem.

1. Plavix is the Brand name of the salt called clopidogrel.
2. Each Pharmaceutical company markets the same salt under their own brand name.
3. The name and quantity of the salt is always mentioned on the strip.
4. If the name of the salt given on the new strip of your white tablets, reads clopidogrel 75mg, it means THAT IT IS EXACTLY SIMILAR TO PLAVIX, but marketed under a different brand name.

I am confident that you will certainly benefit from the advice.

May I assure you that I am always available for your assistance and will try my best to cure your condition to the best of my experience and knowledge.

Please feel free to revert back to me in case of further clarifications, if any.

HAVE A NICE DAY AND A SPEEDY RECOVERY.

Fond Regards,

Dr.(Col) R Karanwal
