Taking Paralen For Musculoskeletal Pain, Compromised Renal Function, Anemia. Increased Ankle Swelling

Dear Doctor Grief,
Thank you so much for your kind opinion on Paralen 500mg (ingredience: paracetamol, caffein, phenylephrine hydrochloride) for intermittent severe musculoskeletal pain (mainly at night) in elderly (female age 98) with compromised renal function (high urea and creatinine), anemia (low Hb and hematocrit). Normotensive (on Perindopril and Indopamide) but increased ankle swelling during a day.
Yours sincerely,
Dr. Jana Strakova (retired General Practitioner back in UK)

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The pain killer that you are taking is not likely to cause the swelling of the feet that you are having. It is more likely to be related to the compromised renal function. Decreasing the salt intake and avoiding the use of any laxatives will help.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
