Hi,

Telma H is a combination of two medications namely telmisartan and hydrochlorothiazide which helps to control high blood pressure. Telma 20 only contains telmisartan. Telmisartan belongs to angiotensin receptor blockers and hydrochlorothiazide belongs to thiazide type diuretics. Hydrochlorothiazide may increase risk for high blood sugar. In studies, patients with hydrochlorothiazide had fasting blood sugar levels that were 2-3 mg/dl higher than those not taking the drug and 12%-18% higher risk for DM.

Coversyl plus is a combination of two medications namely perindopril and indapamide which is used to treat high blood pressure. Perindopril belongs to
angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors and indapamide belongs to diuretics. Indapamide help control blood pressure by excreting excess salt and water.
Indapamide has effect on blood sugar control as it can increase blood sugar levels. Diabetic patients may require additional insulin or antidiabetic medications to control blood sugar levels. Patients with DM can develop high blood sugar as well as glycosuria or sugar in urine.

In case of using both telma H and coversyl plus, both hydrochlorothiazide and indapamide can increase blood sugar levels and additional insulin or antidiabetic medications may be needed for controlling those increased sugar levels.

Take care. Hope I have answered your questions. Let me know if I can assist you further.
