Dear friend,

Thanks for posting your query on this website. I can fully appreciate your concern for non-healing cdiff infection.

You have not mentioned the details of the treatment given to you by your doctor. With due respects to your treating doctor, the medicines were wrong or the duration of treatment may have been inadequate.

I will strongly recommend that you start with the following treatment for at least 14 days this time :-

1. Tab xxx800mg THRICE daily for at least 14 days OR Tab xxx1000mg TWICE daily for 14 days.

2. Inj xxx- to be taken ORALLY= 125mg FOUR times daily for at least 14 days. (The injection comes in powder form. It may be dissolved in water and taken orally in the prescribed dose)

3. Tab/Sachet xxx2 tablets THRICE daily for 14 days.

4. Adequate oral intake of water (preferably Oral Rehydration Solution dissolved in water) so as to correct fluid deficit in the body.

I am highly optimistic that you will certainly benefit from the advice. PLEASE DO NOT FORGET TO REVERT BACK TO ME AT LEAST 2 DAYS PRIOR TO COMPLETION OF THE COURSE, SO THAT- IF REQUIRED- THE TREATMENT COURSE MAY BE EXTENDED BY ANOTHER WEEK.

May I assure you that I am always available for your assistance and will try my best to cure your condition to the best of my experience and knowledge.

Awaiting your reply,

Fond Regards,

Dr. Karanwal
