TTC. Bleeding In Both Partners After Intercourse. Thoughts?

hi doctor.

me and wife was having sex. this is the third or fourth time we are trying to have sex. we are planning for a kid, few time i wont get the strong erection, few time she was having pain..so it was not successful. once we were lucky to have it done. but both were bleeding...this bleeding was there for a day..is there anything to worry about it..heard people saying hymen tear..why do i bleed? a consultant known to me asked me to use a lube? is this a solution..please guide....

Hi,
Thanks for writing in.

1. Indulge in lots of foreplay with your partner and that will help you to get good erections.

2. Be gentle and slow with your penetration.

3. Use a good lubrication gel like KY jelly so that there is less friction between the penis and vaginal wall.

4. First time full penetration sex may cause bleeding due to hymen rupture. This will not happen again and do not get frightened.

5. You must be bleeding due to friction injury to your foreskin which can cause small laceration. Applying lubrication jelly will solve your problems.
