Symptoms Of Disc Herniation And RSD Which Had Gone Into Remission. History Of Laminectomy. On Percocet, Valium. Why Could This Be?

I have third stage RSD that went into remission twelve years ago. I also had a compression fracture of my lumbar spine in 87, with a laminectomy done in 98 without spinal fusion. Two weeks ago, I woke up with symptoms similar to disc herniation and symptoms of my RSD (which is in my right foot and leg) It has not improved, and I am starting PT this week. Could these be related? I am currently on Percocet and Valium. Why am I having disc herniation symptoms without a disc present?

Hi,Welcome to Health care magic forum.
The pain appears to be due to some changes in the laminectomy tissues, or afresh herniation of a new spine, and R.S.D.
I advise you to consult an orthopedic surgeon for diagnosis and treatment. You may need to have an MRI for confirmation.
I usually prescribe to my patient with such symptoms neurotropic injections for 10 consecutive days, and ofloxacin, and antiinflamatories.
Avoid taking potato, other tubers, tomato, egg, chicken, and sea foods.
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery
