Swollen Stitches, Painful, Feeling Pressure. Had Cut Down To Bone On Fore Arm. Normal?

so my girlfriend got cut down to the bone on her for-arm . she went straight to the hospital and had it stitched up . it was really swollen for a while . it's been a month and there is swelling were the stitches used to be and very painful . and pressure feels like pins and needles she said . is this normal ? and what could be the cause of it ? and is there anyway to fix it ?

Hello,
Looks like she got a deep cut as you say it was down to the bone.
Though the wound was stitched and has healed in one month, she is having swelling and pain.
There is possibility of mild nerve injury and edema in the region.
If there was infection in the wound post stitching, there would have been local rise in temperature and pus formation, ehich you have not mentioned about.
If the pain is increasing and unbearable, please consult your doctor again.
