Swollen Right On Top Of Head, Clear Liquids Drained From Nose After A Fall. Anything To Worry ?
About 36 hours ago I fell from about 3 feet off the ground and hit my head as I landed. Immediately I had a goose-egg about the size of the palm on the top of my head to the left of my left eye. Upon sitting up, clear liquid drained from my nose for about 20 - 30 seconds. It was clear liquid to the touch but when it puddled on the white linoleum it had a slight yellowish tint. It has been a little over a day since the fall and I still have the goose egg and am a little tender but I have had no dizziness or nausea. I think I just need time to heal but my mom is scaring me and telling me I need to go see someone now. I recently lost my job and worry about running up a bill if all I need to do is give it time. Any insight you could offer would be helpful.

Head injury after fall, swelling suggest external injury and clear liquid drained from nose for 20-30 sec may be CSF. If you are not suffering from running nose due to cold then the chances of this being CSF is more, Then consult your doctor ASAP to prevent any further complication. The swelling may be due to bleeding which may be due to soft tissue injury or due to any fracture.I prefer you to get checked with your doctor once.
