Swollen, Painful Lymph Nodes In Neck And Left Ear, Rashes On Scalp, Forehead, Eyelids With On And Off Pain. No Fever. Suspected Dermatitis, On Steroids. Thoughts?

swollen painful lymph nodes in neck and in front of left ear. Also, rash with poison ivy like postules on scalp, forehead, upper eyelid and eyebrow; left side as well. Painful nerve-like feelings come and go in same area as rash. No fever. Dr. ruled out shingles and now thinks contact dermatitis and placed me on topical steriods. What are your thoughts?
I have these symptoms( as written by someone else) I have not seen a Dr. What are your thoughts ?

Hello.Rash with poison ivy like postules, enlarged lymph nodes and nerve pain , a possible diagnosis is facial herpes zoster.
I treat my patients with when Famciclovir 750 mg per day+Prednisona 30 mg per day when facial herpes zoster is the diagnosis.
Please consult your local doctor for a prescription.
