Swollen Lump Near Leg Crease, Tender To Touch, Reappears After Draining. What S This ?

Hi! I have a swollen lump near my leg crease. I've actually had this twice before and it eventually drained (smelled horrible and was blood and green liquid) This time its hard to walk. I also feel kind of lethargic and swollen (hurts to make a fist) The lump is the size of a large walnut but its tender to the touch much farther up my leg as well.

hi
As if evident from your description,,you are developing recurrent folliculitis over your leg region,,,, Firstly , there are certain factors that you need to take care off, so that you do not develop such recurrent lesion,,,
Do not apply any kind of moisturisers or oil over your body on regular basis
No massaging of oils,,,as it can lead to pulling of hair and development of folliculitis
Wear cotton clothes as much as possible,,in order to decrease the amount of sweating
Do not touch the lesion or try squeezing it yourself
And get a Random blood sugar assessment done ,if you hav'nt got it done in the recent past

Now, as far as the lesion is concerned, you should use an antiseptic solution to clean it regularly and then apply an antibiotic cream over the affected area..Now if inspite of the above measures, if the lesion continues to increase in size, then you might need oral antibiotics along with oral anti inflammatory drugs...you should visit a dermatologist for proper assessment and management,...

Hope it helps
