Swelling Due To Sprain, Pain And Color Change. Guidance?

Hey, I sprained my foot three days ago. I had a limp for the first day, which comes and goes. Currently my foot is swollen and both sides have bruised blackish/purple mainly under the ankle and goes along the foot. I haven t been to the doctors yet and considering I can walk on it normally (apart from the pain) Is there any point?

Hi, welcome to HCM.
Ankle sprain may be associated with ligaments injury. As there is bruising it means you have significant injury. I will advise please consult your orthopaedician for detailed clinical examination.
Meanwhile start RICE TREATMENT which means rest, ice compression, and analgesics. You will have symptomatic relief.

Hope I have answered your query.

Regards.
