Sun Burnt Face, Lips, Have Blisters. Used Sunblock. Applied Aloe Gel. Is This Normal?

I got really bad sunburn on my face around my lips from doing yard work all day for two days. I used sunblock, but clearly it wasn't enough. It's been about 3 weeks now and the sunburn hasn't healed yet. After some research I began applying aloe gel starting several days ago. I got little blisters here and there, but it went away. I noticed I began getting more blisters after I applied the aloe gel. Is this normal? If not, what steps should I take to healing it?

Hi,
Thanks for writing to us.
Firstly, you need to rule out whether the blisters near your lips are due to sun burn or are lesions of herpes labialis. Had it been sunburn, you would have developed redness and peeling over other areas of face too. I would advise a doctor's visit first to rule out the cause for appropriate treatment.
Take care
