sir, i am 25yr old lady and unmarried.my bleeding is not stopping 3 weeks even my periods time is over but bledding is continuing .i am also contaced doctors.she gave medicine to me .but after eating medicine 7 days still bledding continues and also pain .plz sir give me any suggestion to me
You may require antifibrinolytics like tranexaemic acid to reduce the heavy bleeding.The drug should be taken twice or thrice a day for 3 to 5 days.The heavy blood flow will reduce in the following days.
Nutritional deficiencies like anemia,hormonal disorders like polycystic ovaries and hypothyroidism should be ruled out.Uterine causes like fibroids or polyps can also cause increased bleeding.Hence the cause should be treated.
