Hi,

There is a brain plasticity i.e., brain has to learn its milestone within a stipulated time period of life. For brain to hear, understand speech and speak, which is up to first 7 years. Then after up to 10 years, brain plasticity decreases and by the time of 12 years of life and virtually no plasticity remains after that to develop normal hearing.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
