General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

This might be due to pityriasis Versicolor, a kind of fungal infection of the skin which causes decolouration of the skin and white spots on the dark skin and when the skin is white they may look browner than the normal skin.

Treatment is with medications for fungal infection like ketoconazole cream twice a day for 2-3 weeks. You may take a while to see the change due to treatment because the lesions need to be colored again which might take some time.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Antoneta Zotaj, General & Family Physician
