Suggest Treatment For Vomiting And No Bowel Movement

hello, yesterday I became ill with vomiting and soreness. I vomitted things from the day before. I did not eat at all yesterday and today, and had no bowel movement. What worried me was that after all the solids were gone, and I had vomitted clear liquid, I was vomiting light blackish,green liquid. with my history of diverticulosis and diarheea today I was concerned.

After going through your question, I would like to advise you to consult your doctor immediately or go to ER for detailed clinical examination.

There might be following possibilities for your symptoms -
- Intestinal obstruction.
- Infection of stomach and intestine.
- Diverticulitis.

The possibility of intestinal obstruction need to be excluded as it requires emergency treatment.

Following investigation may be required for diagnosis and treatment.
- Complete Blood Count.
- Liver function test.
- Kidney Function test.
- Urine examination.
- Ultrasonography of abdomen and pelvis.
- Serum lipase, amylase.
- X-ray abdomen in standing position.

Depending upon clinical examination and above test results appropriate decision can be taken.
