Suggest Treatment For Vaginal Pain During Intercourse

I have two problems that I would like to discuss. The first one is that I cannot enjoy sex. The first time I had sex, I never had the initial pain when my hymen broke. My partner was able to go all the way in but I was in excruciating pain. Ever since then, sex has always been painful and not pleasurable in any way, shape, or form. The second thing is that I get a strange pain that I have always assumed was cramps but I was never really sure about. It does not happen when I am on my period, it just happens randomly. I get a sharp pain in my lower abdomen and it hurts to move or stretch my stomach in any way. It especially hurts when I use the bathroom. My vagina does something when I pee that just makes it hurt very much. I don t know if this is normal or not but I am concerned. Thanks

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

First of all do not panic. In my opinion, your symptoms can be due to endometriosis or urinary tract infection.

I will suggest you to get hemogram, urine routine examination and urine culture and sensitivity test and USG done. Please get gynecology check up done including per speculum and per vaginal examination.

If there is urinary tract infection, please seek prescription support from your treating doctor for a broad spectrum antibiotic containing Amoxicillin and Clavulinic acid, urinary tract analgesic like Flavoxate tablets.

Use of Lactic acid containing vaginal wash during bath time is advisable.

If USG shows evidence of endometriosis, as per clinical severity of the condition, you can seek medical line of treatment like tablet Dinogest or if needed surgical approach like lalparoscopy.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Purushottam Neurgaonkar
