HI Thank for asking to HCM I really appreciate your concern, if you do not have any internal ear problems like wax impaction, infection, perforation (tympanic) then other possibilities of the tinnitus need to be ruled out but most of the tinnitus have functional origin if above mentioned etiology is absents, if I would be your doctor then I would suggest the following treatments, 1) Tab Omeprazole 40 mg once in day for three week 2) Tab Domeperidone 30 mg once in day for three weeks these drug would cover the problem of burping, 3) Tab Chlorodiazepoxide three times in day (This is to be tried for the tinnitus if this fails to respond the you have to go for clinical examination and investigations), hope this information helps you have nice day.

My right ear had started clicking when I yawn/burp. Previously there was a squelching when I rested the said ear on a pillow my shoulder but this seems to have stopped. I do getting clicking in the ear (mainly when I swallow) when I have congestion due to colds/flu type viruses and have had t have this ear syringed twice previously.
Hi, I had some sort of ear infection in September. I have been seeing doctors for it since then. Today was the last visit and he said everything was okay. However, I still hear the sparkling noise while I m yawning/burping/hiccuping from the infected ear. I wanted to double check if I should worry about anything.
I m 25, 5ft 5 and about 9 stone. I have had a grommet stuck in my ear canal for a while (was initially inserted about 10 years ago), have seen my GP who advised due to previous perforations it was best to try and remove it naturally (using eardrops to soften the wax and wiggling my ear in the shower to try and loosen it.) After more pain earlier this week, I saw my GP on monday who advised that the eardrum had perforated again and prescribed me oral antibiotics and told me to take pain relief. 2 days later the pain is much worse and I have a constant whirring sound in my ear. I am unable to get in at my GP and NHS Direct have referred me back to him after speaking to them this morning. Are you able to offer me any advice?
Hi I have had persistent daily headaches for 2 and a half years, in 2010 had a sudden extreme headache combined with neck stiffness and drowsiness was taken to hospital with suspected meningitis which was ruled out by lp!! Had MRv 4 weeks after and said suspected aneurysm or calcification in left cerebellum, ct was then done around 2 months later without contrast and was told lipoma in quadrigeminal cistern!! From may last year started experiencing intermittent numbness, pain and pins/ needles in limbs and face mainly right sided and have now had these symptoms intermittently since!! Pulsatile tinnitus started April this year combined with drunk like feelings, had mri and mra which were clear except for dominance of left sided blood vessels been told headaches are most likely migraines and been put on beta blockers and zolmitriptan as and when required!! Returned back from holiday 2 weeks ago and prior to that I had been feeling ok, on the plane on the way home my right arm and right leg kept going dead and since have had a constant headache which is worse on waking and nothing is shifting it!! It hurts more when I move my head and the pulsatile tinnitus is back with a vengeance, it has been constant now for 2 weeks any advice would be much appreciated!!
