Suggest Treatment For Tingling Sensation In The Back

Five days ago while ascending my ladder to do some overhead work on a small building twice I came up too quickly & compressed my head and upper spine against a heavy beam. I could immediately feel a tingling sensation go down my back. Two days later my right shoulder area felt like ants were crawling around on my skin -- a tingling type sensation. There appears very little pain, but I intermediately feel this odd crawling sensation around my shoulder skin/joint area. Could the head impact be related to these symptoms?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The answer to your question is yes, head impact may cause such symptoms, mainly due to pinched nerves and/or spinal cord. If the symptoms don't pass for a couple of weeks , cervical spine MRI is necessary.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
