Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My best friends cheek up to eye is very swollen and the inside of the mouth on the same side is black in a circle shape Almost.. Then the neck on the opposite side has a large ball like lump... He s very tired and gets sweats... He s trying to finish work project but this seems very bad
I am sorry for the situation your best friend is going through.
The swollen cheek up to eye including the inside of his mouth associated with sweating are suggestive of a possible infection of the mouth: most probably a bad teeth or salivary gland infection.
Although he is working hard to finish his work project, I highly recommend to consult an ENT specialist in order to evaluate his problems and get treated adequately.
If cannot manage to go to ENT specialist, can send him to ER for an immediate evaluation and treatment. Complete blood count, urine analysis, and a good physical evaluation are strongly recommended.
Meanwhile, I advise to take anti-inflammatory meds like ibuprofen or paracetamol until seeing his physician.
Hope this helps! Dr.Albana
