Suggest Treatment For Swelling And Redness In The Eyes
I had a hair perm...about a month ago. A few days later - my neck was swollen and red. Also, my face has red blotches and very, very dry...especially around the eye area. I visited my Dr. about a week ago (it was just a routine check-up) asked her about the redness and she said to take Benadryl. I took it for a couple days and was soooo tired. I have only taken one today...My face is still very dry - my neck is dry and itchy.....Any suggestions? What would be a good moisture lotion...I have used Benadryl cream. It did not stop the redness and my neck is till very itchy. Thank you!
I think it is an allergic reaction to chemicals found in hair perm. I can suggest you wash them often in order to remove allergens from it. Also, I can recommend you to use Cetirizine at night.
Also doing a prednisolone injection can help relieve symptoms. You can use petroleum jelly to moisturise skin.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Olgeta Xhufka , General & Family Physician
