Hello,

You have infection on your private area that is itchy and hurts. You also have infection in the leg that causes itching and is also leaking some liquid. You are feeding a female baby. Avoid wearing tight, synthetic clothes. Wear soft cotton clothes. Take care of your hygiene, be gentle with your self. Use antibacterial soap to clean your skin. Apply water based or aloe vera based moisturizer, do not keep the skin dry. You can use humidifier so that your skin does not get dry.

On your leg you can apply cream that contains lactic acid, alpha hydroxy acid or salicylic acid. These creams help to loosen and remove dead skin cells. They also moisturize and soften dry skin. You can also apply Soframycin cream to get relieve. Stay adequately hydrated. Avoid the use of topical retinoids like tretinoin (Altreno, Renova, Retin-A) as you are feeding the baby.

In your private area you can apply hydrocortisone ointment. It will help to stop itching. Do not touch or scratch. Cold compress is helpful. If your private area is warm and moist you will develop fungal infection. Keep it clean and dry. In case of fungal infection you can apply ointment clotrimazole on the affected part. It will give you relieve. It should go away in 3-5 days. If not get examined by your OBGYN. You may need to get STD tests done, if positive, you will be treated accordingly.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
