Dermatologist 's  Response
It is a case of folliculitis which is inflammation of the hair follicles. It is very common condition and has multiple causes but in your son's case could be due to poor hygiene or malnutition or anemia. You should start with some good antibiotic like augmentine whenever he develops these lesions and apply topically fusidic aid cream over the lesions. Apart from this you should apply the topical antibiotic over anterior nares, external ear, finger and toe web spaces, axilla and groins, umblicus and perianal area for 6 weeks. You should also rule out anemia and malnutiyion in your child.
