Suggest Treatment For Sinus Infection, Ear Infection And Possible Leakage From Tooth

I am having trouble with my left jaw, my left nostril and my left ear. I don t know if it is my front tooth crown causing the problem or its my sinuses or a ear infection. I am know for having bad sinuses and had a sinus infection a few months ago. I just went to the dentist 2 weeks ago and they said that one of my crowns may need to be replaced on the front left side because it could be leaking. I also went to Myrtle Beach a few weeks ago and it was freezing, and a few days later I had a slight temperature but I did not think anything of it, could it be a ear infection?I do not have health insurance so I am trying to avoid going to the doctor but I really need something to help with this pain. The pain has been consistent since Sunday. I don t know what to do because I can t afford to get my crown replaced right now but I need to get out of this pain.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain the symptoms of problems associated with left jaw, left nostril and left ear along with leaky dental crown..

Well, your problem seems to be due to sinus infection only that might be leading to ear infection and causing the following symptoms..

I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like PNS view x ray or MRI scan and otoscopy or x ray of the ear can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..

You can be advised a course of antibiotics, anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen, decongestants like Pseudoephadrine, do saline nasal irrigation, steam inhalation and use a humidifier in your room..
You can also be advised decongestant nasal sprays containing Xylometazoline or Oxymetazoline..
Avoid spicy and chilled foods..
Do warm compresses around nostrils..
You can also be given antibiotic and analgesic ear drops..

For leaky crown you should get the crown replaced with an intact and proper fitting crown as a leaky crown can cause secondary infection on the tooth and can cause further decay and even loss of tooth..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
