Suggest Treatment For Sinus Infection And Bronchitis During Pregnancy

I had a sinus infection and bronchitis back in March and now at 37 weeks pregnant I have it again. Last week I was told it was just viral, but I didn t have the chest issue until two days later. Should I go back to the doctor tomorrow to see about some antibiotics? I am having a planned c-section in two and a half weeks and need to get healthy.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

The symptoms seem to be related to a a respiratory tract infection.
I suggest using anti inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the inflammation.
I also suggest to drink liquids and rest.
If the symptoms continue, I suggest to consult your gynecologist for a cycle of antibiotics which is safe to use during pregnancy.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
