My husband has been diagnosed with shingles on left side of head. He got the vaulter on Friday and tynenol #3 But today he has a rash on his right fore arm and behind both knees and on right side waist I was lead to believe shingles never crossed sides Should he go back to hospital
Shingles or herpes zoster usually involves a single segment(dermatome) of the body.So it is less likely that the rash on the other body parts is due to shingles. However in immunocompromised patients it may involve multiple sites and may also cross the midline.I recommend you to consult the dermatologist again.
