Suggest Treatment For Severe Eczema

My daughter is African American/Caucasian and has SEVERE eczema/asthma. We tried treating with light therapy last summer but it actually made her skin have really huge patches of lighter skin in random spots making her skin actually look worse. We are now using triamcinolone ointment on her skin which is also causing huge areas of lightened skin. We are wondering if it is the treatment causing the lightening or if she just has an underlying condition such at vitiligo. Her derm. constantly says just put on the ointment or vaseline.

hi..i read ur daughter case n understand ur concern.
ur daughter's history suggests that she is having atopic eczema.i need to know that u r using steroids cream for ur daughter for how long..? steriod creams should not be used for more than 3 weeks at one go. i would suggest that if u r using steriod for more than 3 weeks then quit for a month n if needed start it again.
the huge patches of white skin which u r taking abt could be post inflammatory hypopigmentation.dunt worry it can occur after inflammation like eczema.give it some time, the tone of skin 'll become even.
also u need to apply a good moisturizing cream 3 to 4 times daily on ur daughter's eczema affected area.
keep ur daughter hydrated and we'll naurished.
hope I answered ur question in case of any problem feel free to ask us.
wish her good health.
regards.
