General & Family Physician, Dr. Nishad BN's Response
Hi Thank you for asking HCM. I have gone through your query. Sciatica can be managed efficiently. You can take muscle relaxants like tizanidine, NSAIDs like aceclofenac and neurotropics drugs like pregabalin and methylcobalamin. I would also suggest doing physiotherapy like TENS ,infrared therapy and muscle strengthening exercises after a short period of rest for 4 to 5 days. Sleep on hard mattress. Avoid sitting for long time. Wearing lumbar supporting belts is also good. Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear. Thanks.
