yes pain radiating from spine to leg is called sciatica.
THis is due to stretching of nerve coming out from spinal canal due to some degenerative lesion in spinal vartebrae.
Compressed spine can give rise to sciatica.
Surgery is the reatment of compressed spine or orthopedic can decide after examination and investigations.
