Suggest Treatment For Rheumatoid Arthritis

I have rheumatoid arthritis i am on Methotrexate and vicodin. Lately i have been having a lot of pain in different muscles surrounding major joints such as shoulders ,elbowz ,ankle.. the pain subsides within 24to48hours down to nothing. It also never hits the same spot twice in a row .... i take energy pills most everyday ... like "stackers"and such

Thank you for the question.I would suggest that you have your blood test repeated for complete blood count,ESR Anti-ccp and liver functions,Na , K levels.I would prefer to put you on two DMRD's like hydroxychloroquine 250mg daily along with methtrexate if ESR is high and more joints are now affected, which means single drug methotrexate is not sufficiently controlling disease process.You may change from vicodin to tramadol 100mg BD only till acute condition lasts ,that is 5-7 days and stop it. also rely on physical therapy more like hot fomentation,mild execises.Blood tests periodically for monitoring doses and meds.
