Suggest Treatment For Reducing Back Pain Caused Due To Sickle Cell Anaemia

Hello sir, good morning i am shradha having age 23 year, height 5'4", weight 56.4kg and i am suffering from sickle cell anaemia due to which i use to suffer from a severe backache from last 3 years. Please suggest me what should i do to decrease my pain.

Thanks for asking.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows.
1. Sickle cell anemia complication does not cause back pain commonly. I would not expect a sickle cell crisis to affect back bone only.
2. Poor posture, weak back should be contributing to back pain. Maintain posture and do back exercises. Physiotherapy will also be helpful.
3. Always keep checking your haemoglobin levels and specifically sickle cell levels. If sickle cell levels are high, you might require red cell exchange to reduce it.
