General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It is a skin allergic reaction to a substance used near the wound. Sometimes are the band-aids itself that cause the allergic reaction. You can use antihistamines such as Benadryl or cetirizine for itching and rush. Don't use band-aids anymore. You can use bandages instead.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
