Hello, thanks for asking me this question.

VDRL test is use in syphilis case.
VDRL test is screening test.It detect antibody in blood circulation.
For this test collect the blood sample first.

If VDRL test positive than do FTA-ABs test to confirm syphilis.

VDRL false positive in some case like hepatitis A,infectious mononucleosis, leprosy etc.

VDRL false negative in initial stage of syphilis.
