General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello
Thanks for the query to H C M.
In normal circumstances we advise our patient for 6 month anti tubercular treatment .
One thing you mentioned that she is still having blood in sputum , this is not normal for primary tubercular patient .
So , if still blood present in the sputum , please re valuate this case .\
Please get in sputum examination for AFB and culture , blood examination for ESR ( if > 70-80 or even up to 110 mm ) , X RAY CHEST .
I would like to suggest you take opinion of one more CHEST and tuberculosis specialist and get his opinion regarding the anti tubercular treatment.
Hope this will help you.
Further , if any question I will reply happily.
Hope your girl fiend will soon recover , good luck.
I find this answer helpful
